Still Smoking? I KNOW you can quit!

I saw a segment on the Today Show this morning. They were giving statistics and suggestions about smoking. They said that ONE in FIVE adults smoke, they were already smoking by the time that they were 18, and a lot of scary disease and death statistics!
I wanted to share the video with you from the Today show website, but I am having trouble getting it to show on the post.

Well, we “try” and don’t accomplish things. One of the first things that we need to do is to change our internal language, and the way that we speak to others (or type!) in describing ourselves and our intentions.
As the Nike commercial has said - “Just Do It”! When we start thinking that THIS is who we are, and how we behave, the “magical” changes take place. All true change takes place in our imaginations first. I have helped hundreds of client completely let go of their self-image as a smoker. That way they don’t Quit, they shift easily and permanently in only a few hours.
Here is a “Mind Movie” that I made to help people to start thinking positively, that they can be free of smoking in their lives:

If you can quit “cold turkey”, do it. If you need help then get it. It is important for you to take this seriously, and get healthy!

I used to smoke about 20 years ago. I took up the bad habit not long after my dad died. It was a comfort—in a weird kind of way.
I must’ve smoked off and on for about 15 years. I started out smoking a couple of cigarettes a day but as the job intensified, my smoking habits did also.
When I got sick, I just went cold turkey and never had the desire to smoke again. I even hate it now when we go to restaurants and they have a smoking section.
I can remember in the 1950’s. It seems like more people smoked than didn’t. Then, with all of the health issues that came out, a lot of efforts were made to stop smoking. Now, the young people have picked up the habit again. I guess history repeats itself. Thank you for what you do to help people break this harmful habit.
Sally,
This is a wonderful mission you are on and I know your techniques work because I’ve done similar things and they’ve helped me tremendously.
I smoked for years (started in college because I thought it looked “cool”) and quitting was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done. I encourage anyone who is struggling with this process to connect with you. You can help, I know, and get people started on a healthy way of life. Kudos to you for all you’re doing!
I love that you are using visualization and mind movies! I learned that in Silva training.
I’ve smoked off and on for years — off now since heart stent — amazing motivator, the stent!
In those times, however, when I stopped on my own, I simple evoked my WILL. It showed up as a twisting palpable vibration in my gut, which I now know was Spirit telling me ‘enough is enough!’ And so it was … until the next time.
Thank you everyone for the comments!
Wonderful stories and encouragement. Yes, letting go of smoking is so important for our health and peace of mind.

I couldn’t get them to work directly on this blog for some reason.
Hugs,

How wonderful to see you using Mind Movies. I just learned about them a few months ago and I can tell you they do work!
I am the only member of my family that has never smoked. And I am the only one who doesn’t have some sort of chronic health issue. I applaud your efforts to help others that suffer from this addiction. I’m recommending your program to every smoker I know!
Thank you Melodieann for your comments.
I appreciate the support!
