What’s Your Favorite Widget?
limelightBlogging and podcasting, Techy Talk
I’m a WordPress gal and… well frankly I will never ever go anywhere else. I got the best education with widgets last month. I modified a theme on my own. No big feat? Well I’m HTML challenged - I still don’t know what the <p>s and <div>s mean but by golly I have reworked my theme on www.codadiva.com
While re-coding about three different themes, I thought my choice for a widget ready theme was the way to go. I have discovered some really great widgets, and if I had time I bet I would find more. About two weeks ago, I’d probably would have answered my own question as Riffly being my favorite widget. Riffly allows your audience to leave comments in text, audio and video. I KNOW! How cool is that, but in my networking I’ve now been turned on to Seesmic. It’s a video recording application (widget ready) and it’s so fun! It also allows for my video to be seen by others on the Seesmic community.
I wanted a way to allow other to subscribe to my blog, but didn’t know how to add that handy dandy text box, whew, it’s the WWSGD (What Would Seth Godin Do) widget. The newest widget I’m about to add a “rate this” entry widget. Know of a good one?
So tell me, what’s the widget you can’t live without?

Lisa I like the rating plugin outbrain found at http://www.outbrain.com/ My favorite plugin is commentluv as I love comments on my blog so I love anything that encourages and rewards people for leaving a comment
Thank you, that is very informative. So I am right to say that social networking is more of gathering a group of individuals with the same interests to form a community.
Hi Robert!
Social networking is everything you desire and more. You can focus on just your interests or business. You can also learn something new from your new social friends. They may tip you off to something and you enjoy that.. so then you connect. Think of Twitter and Facebook for networking. There is Ryze and a slew of others. It can be addicting! Have fun!
This post is really a must bookmarked for me! Thank you so much.

Just asking, do you use Aweber? If so, can you provide more information on this? I am subscribed to your rss to check if you are going to post something on Aweber.
